For all you design related entrepreneur's out there you should check out this article http://www.dailyworth.com/blog/414-learning-what-im-worth it's very inspiring and address's the issue of how much to sell your work for.... I think that far too many artists/crafts people/designers are greatly selling themselves short! not only is this damaging for themselves but for the whole 'crafting' community. People can not expect quality one of a kind unique products to compete with the price of mass produced, poor quality products imported from china!
OK I will jump off my soap box now!
So on the Frenchy and Sophie front, I have had a productive day consisting of- pre washing fabrics and then ironing them, a little more pattern cutting and here's the exciting part... I have cut 2 items out of cloth and have began surging them :) so we should have some finished product soon!

Just got my third etsy sale! how exciting! I really think social networking... etsy forums, twitter, facebook and blogging makes a difference!
so funny story... just spoke to my family on skype (I am british and moved to the U.S in august-so my family are all in the UK) my mum was so annoyed because she just got a fine for parking in a mother and child parking space at the store, she is annoyed because she claims she does have children (even though her youngest child is 20) I thought it was very funny and that she deserved the fine!
anyway I am just about to head to the fabric store... dangerous! I will try not to spend all the money I have made from my resent sales... I am dying to get some cute polkadot fabric to make a little weiner dog pillow- how cute!

wow didn't realise it was so easy to start a blog! how exciting!
Well today has been very uneventful, I have wasted half my time on the Internet- I wonder.. if everyone added up all the time they spent on the Internet and calculated how much of their life that was.. if they would still do it? of course we would!
today I have done some sewing, added some new items to my shop www.sewsicora.etsy.com, locked myself outside the house whilst taking photos of items for shop- yes it was cold and yes i was wearing leggings and a pyjama shirt with last nights makeup still on- nice!
and now I will be going to the gym so ad least I will have done something somewhat useful! well actually I guess starting a blog will be very useful...
